A little bit about Tamara

Tamara is an experienced Exercise Physiologist with a deep-rooted passion for health, wellbeing, and exercise, approached holistically and backed by evidence. She established Ardour Strength in 2017, ignited by her interest in injury management and prevention through Pilates. While at University, Tamara had great enthusiasm for her degree in Exercise Physiology and truly believed in the statement "Exercise is Medicine" and that movement heals people. She found particular interest in neuroscience and psychology. However, her focus consistently returned to musculoskeletal conditions, and therefore leveraged her understanding of neuroscience and psychology to enhance the brain-body connection in healing and movement. Tamara spent 3 years working in a Physiotherapy Clinic and Exercise Physiology specialised gym, teaching Pilates and also began her Exercise Physiologist clinical journey in these spaces after graduating, taking on all injuries and conditions. By February 2020, Tamara transitioned to a full-time role in Occupational Rehabilitation, where she independently navigated challenges from home, expanding her expertise in musculoskeletal conditions and work-related injuries. The year 2023 brought a significant change as Tamara embraced her own pregnancy journey, sparking a newfound passion for Women's Health.

Whilst navigating her own pre and postnatal journey she was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a great Women's Health medical team. It truly meant a lot to her to have such a wonderful network of professionals to support and navigate her through what was an exciting but also daunting time as a first time Mum. Staying active was an important aspect to the health and well being of herself and her new little one and it was in this process and connection built with the wonderful health care team she had, that her passion developed for wanting to work in this space and help other women on their own journeys throughout a life time.
